The New Cottage at 23 Rowan Ave
A major project is under way as a means of providing a home close to ours for any members of the family that may need it in the coming years. We intended it be finished building during the winter of 2006 so thinking we would have plenty of time we started off the process in February. To our surprise it took the entire year to apply for a subdivision change, apply for a loan, decide on the style of cottage, arrange for plans to be drawn up, present them to Uralla Shire Council, send them to the Lands Department, get an Owner Builder License....that took til the week preceding the busy silly season.

Steve is finding the project extremely satisfying. It has given him something difficult to do. Very clever boy, my husband!

31/10/07: The privacy screen is up....Brushwood fencing. A pretty prostanthera (native mint) garden planted and mulched.
21/9/07: Paths are finished! In fact ALMOST everything is finished. Congratulations Mr Field! I reckon "Woodland Cottage" is a good name. We should get an official sign.
